  1. CHECK WHO YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH

    Surround yourself with people who inspire you to be better and who will support you to achieve your goals.

  2. CHECK YOUR INTERNAL CONVERSATION

    What conversations are you having with yourself?  Be kind to others but be kindest to yourself. Check for self-limiting beliefs – are you holding yourself back from achieving your goals?

  3. DO SOMETHING FOR OTHERS

    Whether it is a random act of kindness or a voluntary role, kindness is the gift that gives back and will leave you feeling positive.

  4. CHECK YOU AREN’T SAYING “NO” TO YOU

    When you say “Yes” to others, are you saying “No” to yourself? Does saying “Yes” leave you feeling positive or negative?  Saying “No” on occasions is ok if you are doing it for the right reasons.

  5. BE PRESENT

    Don’t be afraid to get caught up in the moment.  Don’t just be present physically; be there mentally. Enjoy life with your eyes rather than through the lens of a camera.  Put distractions to one side.

  6. ENJOY THE JOURNEY AND BE PREPARED TO DETOUR

    Many goals are at the end of a long journey.  Enjoy the journey as that is part of the process. Expect for plans to change and to take a detour.  Be prepared that the end destination may change too.

  7. SMALL AND CONSISTENT STEPS FOR THE WIN

    Small steps – keep it gradual and consistent. Identify your goal, identify the steps you need to achieve them and then keep breaking them down until they are small, manageable and achievable.

  8. LOOK FOR THE POSITIVE

    Sometimes you must look a little harder, but a positive is always there. Finding a positive in every situation helps maintain a positive mindset.

  9. BE YOU

    You don’t like everyone you meet.  Therefore, not everyone will like you. Be you, inexcusably and unapologetically you.
