The course covers the content and features of the Equality Act 2010. It explains types of discrimination and protected characteristics, and details the impact of the Act in the workplace.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course the participants will:
- Know the key features and context of the Equality Act 2010
- Be able to list types of discrimination and protected characteristics
- Be able to discuss the impact of the Equality Act on colleagues, on their organisation and on working life
- Be able to produce a brief plan to review equality in their workplace and, where required, an action list to implement measures for improvement
