Restoring confidence, control and regulatory assurance across a growing broker network

Introduction

Momentum is a fast-growing network of general insurance–focused appointed representatives, supporting 107 AR firms.

As a network, Momentum carries significant responsibility — not only to support broker development, but to demonstrate ongoing competence, supervision, and learning quality across its members in line with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) expectations.

In 2025, Momentum partnered with Zing365 to deliver a fully white-labelled CPD and learning solution — giving Momentum confidence in its regulatory oversight, while allowing member firms genuine ownership of how their people learn and develop.

The partnership is led by Steve Walton, Quality & Compliance Director, who joined Momentum in 2023 after seven years as a compliance consultant.

The Challenge

Before Zing365, Momentum had been using an established provider for several years. On the surface, the system appeared functional. In practice, confidence in it had steadily eroded.

Key issues included:

  • Inconsistent content accuracy
  • An overly complex and unintuitive platform
  • Minor user errors invalidating hours of learning without warning

Reporting Failures

Reporting was the biggest concern:

“You could run the same report an hour apart and get different results. When that happens, you stop trusting the system altogether.”

With around 90 internal users and 100+ AR firms, this created genuine regulatory risk. Momentum struggled to:

  • Reliably identify gaps in user learning
  • Efficiently evidence learning and supervision

As a network, Momentum must be able to demonstrate competence clearly and defensibly to the FCA — not just internally, but across all appointed representatives.

Under the previous system, that assurance simply wasn’t there.

Why Zing365

When Steve joined Momentum, he conducted a full market review. Having worked as a consultant, he was already familiar with Zing365’s reputation within general insurance.

Momentum now uses a fully white-labelled Zing365 platform across its entire network.

The platform acts as a central hub for:

  • Structured onboarding for new joiners
  • Hosting Momentum’s own webinars and internal content

Steve often describes the platform as a “garden shed”:
