This course introduces the learner to group personal accident insurance cover. It explains typical cover, along with typical policy exclusions and conditions. The course provides an understanding of the underwriting considerations for personal accident risks.

Objectives

At the end of this course the learner will be able to:

Explain the need for personal accident insurance cover
Demonstrate an understanding of what is typically covered under a personal accident policy
Detail what exclusions are likely to apply
Show an understanding of typical policy conditions
Explain what extensions of cover may be provided by the policy
Demonstrate knowledge of what the underwriters take into account when considering the personal accident risk.
