Data Protection Act

Description

This course is designed to provide an easy-to-understand summary of the Data Protection Act 2018 (Act), and to provide help in following good practice day-to-day. It cannot provide advice on specific queries which will always be specific to your business and individual circumstances and you should seek independent advice.Objectives

This course is designed to:

- Provide an overview of the Act itself
- Help delegates to understand the principles without going into details which are not typically needed day to day
- Give some ideas which should help prevent inadvertent breaches of the Act
- Provide access to more detailed information via the Information Commissioners Office

At the end of the course delegates should:

Have a general understanding of the Act
Have the basic knowledge needed to avoid errors when processing data
