Description

This is a short, just-in-time overview of anti-bribery and corruption for insurance brokers and general insurance staff. In around twelve minutes it covers the essentials: what bribery and corruption are, the key offences and penalties under the UK Bribery Act 2010, what the FCA expects of regulated firms, the rules around gifts and hospitality, and what all of this means for you in your day to day work.

Objectives

Explain what bribery and corruption are, and describe the key offences and penalties under the UK Bribery Act 2010.
Recognise what the FCA expects of firms, and judge when gifts and hospitality are reasonable rather than improper.
Identify the common red flags and know how, and to whom, to report a concern.
