Description

This module will uncover what business interruption insurance is, and its significance in the commercial world. Delegates will explore a vast arrange of scenarios that hinder the insured following a loss, and how the policy should respond to support the insured in the event of such loss.

The course will explore ways on how the insurer is able to support the insured through difficult times, offer a lifeline to the business and upload the principle of indemnity. Finally, the course explores the benefits that common extensions hold.

Casualty Insurance

Description

This module explores the difference between criminal and civil law, and how a typical liability policy responds to such claims. Delegates will explore policy wordings to determine how the policy will respond to different claims situations in negotiating settlements.

Delegates will also understand what covers will pick up different claims. Finally, delegates will understand typical extensions and exclusions under a policy to determine what the policy will pay for when a claim is submitted.

Description

This module explores the wider impact that the claims function has on the insurance company and the insurance industry as a whole. Delegates will examine the impact that fraudulent claims have and how to spot the signs.

The course will review future trends that insurers are putting in place to help combat fraudulent claims.

Finally, the course will discover how catastrophic claims are categorised, managed and paid in the event of such event.

Description

This module explores how communication is the key to any situation that a professional finds themselves in. There may also be situations where a difficult situation arises and you’re the one who needs to take control.

This module explores the barriers of communication and how it can cause frustration with the other party, before discovering techniques to overcome those barriers.

Finally, delegates will understand what it means to be assertive, when it is required and how to assert themselves effectively.

Description

In this module, delegates will discover effective ways to setting goals and adhering to the goals. The course will examine methods to help support whether the risk goals and tasks are being conducted to help manage time effectively.

Delegates will also understand how to maintain focus, particular in the sight of barriers and consistent pushbacks.

Finally, delegates will understand what being ‘gritty’ is all about, and explore ways on how to build upon their intrapersonal skills to form ‘grit’.

Emotional Intelligence

Description

This module explains the difference between IQ and EI (or EQ). Many people understand the term emotional intelligence, but are unfamiliar on exactly with it means. Delegates will explore the work by Daniel Goleman and recognise the five key domains of emotional intelligence and how it affects them every day, from decision making to communication skills. Delegates will explore practical examples on how to build on existing skills to develop their emotional intelligence and help overcome bias.

Motor Insurance

Description

This module will explore the differences between commercial and personal motor insurance and how the policies will respond to support the insured in the event of a loss.

Problem Solving

Description

This module recognises that problem solving isn’t an easy thing to do. Many people automatically go into solving a problem without understanding the core of the problem, resulting in the wrong problem being solved. To encourage effective problem solving, delegates will explore ways to truly discover the root cause of the problem using various methods.

Delegates will discover how to produce creative ideas with problems that they face daily, and techniques that will help diagnose whether that solution is effective.

This module discovers the other side of liability insurance and explores how a business can be professionally liable. We will also explore the different policy types that are available in the market.

Delegates will also explore how liability arises for such professional indemnity claims and the key considerations that can be found in a policy wording.

Finally, the course will explore the key nuisances of professional indemnity insurances and how they differ from other liability policies.
