Problem Solving

Description

This module recognises that problem solving isn’t an easy thing to do. Many people automatically go into solving a problem without understanding the core of the problem, resulting in the wrong problem being solved. To encourage effective problem solving, delegates will explore ways to truly discover the root cause of the problem using various methods.

Delegates will discover how to produce creative ideas with problems that they face daily, and techniques that will help diagnose whether that solution is effective.

Objectives

Describe the key elements of effective problem solving
Use creative and lateral thinking to solve a problem
Select and use practical tools for defining, clarifying and solving problems
Draw on a range of interpersonal skills and techniques to promote effective group problem solving
